7 day detox

Once upon a time I went on a macrobiotic diet. Actually it was probably more of verge-of-an-eating-disorder diet. All I consumed was brown rice, vegetables, and water. How I didn't drop dead from malnutrition I'm still not sure, but I did lose 10 lbs. No artificial colors or flavors. No salt, sugar, or other condiments. Flavorless and boring. No wonder I couldn't keep up with it. Now I want to try eliminating one bad thing at a time instead of all at once. One bad thing gone or one good habit gained per day over a 7 day span.

Day one: eliminate soda. For a while I didn't drink soda at all but of course like everything else I fell off the wagon. I feel this should be pretty easy to get rid of, hence why it's first on the list.

Day two: eliminate excess sugar. Replace cake, cookies, and ice cream with fruit.

Day three: replace bad carbs with good carbs. No macaroni and cheese, bread, yummy delicious carbs. Replace with brown rice, whole grains, and wheat bread if necessary.

Day four: Eat more vegetables. As much as I detest vegetables I'll try to incorporate one new vegetable a week.

Day five: Eat breakfast. Not just 2 cups of coffee. Actually sit down and consume actual food.

Day six: Drink a gallon of water a day. No Scotch with that water either.

Day seven: Stop hating myself. I only get one of me and I should appreciate the person I am and can be.

I will update this as this plan progresses.
